TOWN OF GHENT
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that there will be three successive public hearings before the Ghent Town Board on December 15, 2022 at 6:45 p.m., 6:50 p.m., and 6:55 p.m. for the purpose of considering Resolutions authorizing the Town of Ghent to enter into contracts for fire protection services with the Ghent Volunteer Fire Company for the area known as the “Ghent Fire Protection District”, the Village of Chatham for the area known as the “Chatham Fire Protection District No. 2”, and the West Ghent Volunteer Fire Company for the area known as the “West Ghent Fire Protection District”.
The term of each agreement will be for one (1) year, commencing on January 1, 2023 and terminating on December 31, 2023. The public hearings will be held at the Ghent Town Hall, 2306 Route 66, Ghent, NY 12075. Copies of the proposed 2023 fire contracts may be viewed on the Town of Ghent website or obtained from the Ghent Town Clerk during normal business hours.
