The mission of the Town Comprehensive Plan Review Committee (CPRC) is to assess and revise the town’s comprehensive plan to ensure it reflects the evolving needs, values, and aspirations of the community. The CPRC is committed to an open and transparent process which will include CPRC meetings being open to the public, accessible documentation, opportunities for public feedback through various channels, public hearings, and clarity around our proceedings, considerations and decisions.
On September 2, 2025, the Committee updated the timeline for the Comprehensive Plan review.
The CPRC delivered the Ghent Comprehensive Plan Draft in October 2025 to the Ghent Town Board. In January 2026, the Town Board held a public hearing and SEQRA review. On January 22, 2026 the Town Board adopted the Plan by unanimous consent, and decommissioned the CPRC immediately thereafter.
The Town Board extends its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the members of the CPRC for their dedicated work on behalf of the residents of Ghent.

The Comprehensive Plan Review Committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm at the Town Hall, unless otherwise noted (*). Members of the public are always welcome.
