Town of Ghent Income and Expense Survey

As part of the reassessment process for 2022, the assessor’s office has mailed to all commercials in the town of Ghent an Income and Expense Survey. The information we are asking for is critical for accuracy in the process of establishing fair and equitable assessments. Any information collected will be kept confidential (with the exception of inventory information).
The surveys should be returned to the assessor by September 24, 2021. They can be returned by email to [email protected], or dropped in the lockbox on the front of the town hall at 2306 State Rte. 66, or mailed to: Assessor, Town of Ghent, PO Box 98, Ghent, NY 12075.

- Visit the NYS Office of Real Property Services (ORPS) website for Star program and property tax information and forms.
- Current Town of Ghent Property Tax Assessment Roll.
What to do if you disagree with your assessment
Grievance Applications (Form RP524) and instructions can be printed directly from the tax.ny.gov website.
Please contact the assessor’s office if you would like more information on any of the following Exemptions:
- Basic STAR
- Enhanced STAR
- Senior Citizen Exemption
- Veteran’s Exemption
All exemptions and exemption renewals are due to the assessor prior to March 1st.
