TOWN OF GHENT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that there will be a public hearing before the Ghent Town Board on February 20, 2025, beginning at 6:55 p.m. at the Ghent Town Hall, Route 66, Ghent, New York 12075, for the purpose of considering Proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2025, which would amend the Code of the Town of Ghent to extend real property tax exemptions to volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers providing volunteer services to a neighboring city, village, town, county, or school district. All interested parties will have an opportunity at such time to be heard in connection with the proposed local law. A copy of the proposed local law may be found on the Town website or obtained from the Ghent Town Clerk during normal business hours.
