Join Us for Ghent’s Earth Day Action: Tree Planting!
The Town of Ghent Climate Smart Task Force invites you to celebrate Earth Day by giving back to our local environment at our second annual community planting event.
Sunday, April 26, 2026 | 1:00–3:00 PM
West Ghent Community Center
Bring the whole family and help plant a variety of native trees and shrubs as we continue to enhance the Community Center’s natural spaces. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to explore the nature trails, learn about the phenology trail, and take part in native plant identification.
This hands-on event is a great way to connect with neighbors, support local ecosystems, and make a lasting impact in our community.
Please come prepared with gloves, sturdy shoes, and any gardening tools you’d like to use.
Plants for the event have been generously donated by Arthur’s Point Farm and NY Soil & Water. Refreshments will be provided by 10 Barn Farm and Bartlett House.
