The Chatham-Ghent Seniors Group invites members and prospective members to attend its Annual Picnic on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ghent Sportsman’s Association, located at 1128 County Route 9 in Ghent.
The annual picnic is one of the group’s most popular events and provides an opportunity for seniors from the Towns of Ghent and Chatham to enjoy an afternoon of food, fellowship, and community.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, and sausage with peppers will be provided. Attendees may bring a side dish or dessert, and are encouraged to bring their beverage of choice (the Senior Group will provide bottled water). Please note that alcohol is prohibited at the event.
Current members may attend free of charge. Individuals interested in joining the Chatham-Ghent Seniors are welcome to become members for just $10 per year.
The Chatham-Ghent Seniors continue to be an active and growing organization, with membership now exceeding 100 individuals. The group meets regularly and hosts a variety of social, educational, and recreational activities throughout the year.
The Town of Ghent extends its thanks to the Ghent Sportsman’s Association for generously donating the picnic space for this year’s event.
