The Chatham-Ghent Senior Citizens Group invites members and prospective members to its September meeting on Wednesday, September 2, at 1:00 PM at the Ghent Reformed Church, 1039 County Route 22, Ghent.
The Chatham-Ghent Senior Citizens Group is an active and growing organization with more than 100 members. Regular meetings offer an opportunity for seniors to enjoy refreshments, fellowship, and community, along with a variety of social, educational, and recreational activities throughout the year. Meetings are followed by BINGO for those who wish to participate.
September Program: The Chatham Free Store
September’s guest speakers will be Linda Laurange and Tammy Shaw from the Chatham Free Store. They will explain how the Free Store operates, when and how residents can shop there, how to donate, and what types of items are accepted.
The Chatham Free Store provides a place for community members to donate usable clothing, shoes, coats, accessories, children’s items, books and puzzles, sporting goods, kitchenware, linens, hand tools, and other household goods. All items are available to members of the community free of charge.
The Chatham Free Store is located on Town of Chatham property at 488 State Route 295, Chatham, behind Chatham Town Hall.
