Town Board

There will be a public hearing before the Ghent Town Board on October 16, 2025 at 6:55 p.m., at the Ghent Town Hall, Route 66, Ghent, New York 12075, to consider the provisions of the Town of Ghent Preliminary Budget for the fiscal year 2026 in accordance with the provisions of Section 108 of the Town Law of the State of New York.

There will be a special meeting of the Ghent Town Board Tuesday, October 7 at 5:00pm for the purpose of considering the tentative 2026 budget and other municipal business.

This hearing is for the purpose of considering Proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2025, which would amend the Code of the Town of Ghent to extend real property tax exemptions to volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers providing volunteer services to a neighboring city, village, town, county, or school district.

The meeting will begin at 9:00am at the Ghent Town Hall.

There will be three successive public hearings beginning at 6:55 p.m. for the purpose of considering Resolutions authorizing the Town of Ghent to enter into contracts for fire protection services.

This meeting will immediately follow the public hearing for the 2025 preliminary budget and is for the purpose of considering budget adoption and other municipal business.

There will be a public hearing before the Ghent Town Board on November 7, 2024 at 5:00 p.m to consider the provisions of the Town of Ghent Preliminary Budget for the fiscal year 2025.

The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. on and the regular meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The August 15 workshop meeting and regular monthly meeting of the Ghent Town Board is changed to August 22.
