There will be a public hearing before the Ghent Town Board on November 7, 2024 at 5:00 p.m to consider the provisions of the Town of Ghent Preliminary Budget for the fiscal year 2025.

The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. on and the regular meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The August 15 workshop meeting and regular monthly meeting of the Ghent Town Board is changed to August 22.

The decision to lease municipal land is subject to a permissive referendum in accordance with the provisions of Section 91 of the Town Law and shall take effect thirty (30) days after its adoption, unless a petition is presented to the Town Clerk, conforming to the requirements of Section 91 of the Town Law, seeking permissive referendum.

The meeting, which will begin at 3:00 p.m. is for the purpose of considering a request for limited immunity from local zoning made by the County of Columbia in connection with the construction of a new 911 call center.

The meeting, which will begin at 6:45 p.m., is for the purpose of considering a land lease with Bell Atlantic Mobile Systems LLC d/b/a Verizon Wireless.

The meeting, which will begin at 6:00 p.m., will be used to facilitate a meeting between the Comprehensive Plan Review Committee (CPRC) and various Town representatives.

There will be a public hearing beginning at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering Proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2024, which would establish an exemption from fire protection district taxes for volunteer firefighters.

At 3:00pm at the Ghent Town Hall. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
